Oktapodi(2007) OSCAR 2009 Nominated Short Film
Being nominated in the Academy Awards 2009 as the best animated short film, Imagina 2008 best show animation, just to name a few, Oktapodi definitely gained its fame with its cute three minutes long animation.
This short film talks about a pair of loving octopus and their journey when the lady octopus was caught and sold to a man, the remaining one fight its way to rescue her. Throughout the film, you'll see the octopus bounce his way through in chasing for the van that had his lover. Although this is a no dialogue short film, it is still a recommended one, for the characters were animated in full expressions and the music that blends well to suit the pace of the animation.
This fast paced animation is nice to watch but three minutes ain't long enough. The ending part gives viewers rooms for imaginations and a lot might be hoping for the next episode of Oktapodi!
