DAY TILL NIGHT LOOK by Alvina Tai (DMC09)

SHINE TILL THE NIGHT!
Woman nowadays in this era, are always on the go. Their skin care and make-up routine are kept as simple as possible to fit their schedule. Instead of putting on 3 different skin care/ make-up products for 3 different purposes, we all prefer to have just one product that combats all our flaws in just one go; somewhat like a 3-in-1 thing. Same goes for our make-up look, we’d want to look good during the day and the night too with the same make-up look. Here are some tips on how to do so without going overboard.
STEP 1
Apply a primer before applying foundation
By applying a primer beforehand anything else, it helps to keep our make-up intact and if a primer with a pink-based was used, it will help to keep make-up not only intact but it will also add some radiance to your look. A primer would be ideal if you’re expecting to stay out from day to night.
STEP 2
Keep those eyes looking fresh!
If you’re looking forward for a whole day out, make sure that those dark eye circles are concealed well with a medium to full coverage concealer so that your eye remains looking fresh from morning till night. You wouldn’t want to scare your friends now don’t you?
STEP 3
Earth tone eye shadows are more versatile
Start by applying soft shades such as a champagne shimmer shade in the inner corners of the eyes, then move outwards into the middle section of the eye balls by applying a medium tone soft brown. For the outer V-crease corner of the eyes, use a pencil brush for better precision and apply a dark brown for depth all the way in the crease of the eyes. Then use the same shade that was used for the inner corner of the eyes as a highlight shade for the area just below the brows.
STEP 4
Pencil Liner or Liquid Liner?
It depends on the individual itself, as some prefer the liquid cat eyes look whereas some like the Smokey effect that a pencil liner gives. If using a pencil liner, start by applying it on the lash line on the inner corner of the eyes and move your way outwards and wing it out. Then use the end part of the liner pencil and smudge out the liner. The smudging effect would be better if a smudger brush was used. For liquid liner, draw 3 dots on the lash line; one in the inner corner, in the middle and on the outer corner. Then connect the dots to create a straight line. After the liner, apply mascara for fuller lashes.
STEP 5
Cream/Liquid Blusher or Powder Blusher?
I would say both! First apply the cream/ liquid blusher on the apple of the cheeks then blend it outwards towards your cheekbones. Then apply the powder blush over the cream blush for a more vibrant look and glow. It also helps keep the blush in place for a longer time rather than applying only powder blush.
