Money Grows On Trees

The next time your normally uninterested neighbour asks you for advice on how to best grow green plants – you better be a little wary.

Police in Somerset, England have found an increase of 130% in home-grown cannabis plants. Good quality cannabis plants apparently can fetch up to at least £1,000 (RM7000) which would cover the costs for growing and making more than enough profit for the grower.

In a way, I feel that this is good – and bad. On one hand, we are encouraging the nation to become more “green” and eco-friendly. Through the growing of plants, planters would develop green thumbs – a talent that would be lost in the world of technology.

On the other hand, the bad would be obvious. Growing drugs is considered a federal offence and should not be taken lightly. What happened to having part-time jobs to make extra money?

I guess, money does literally grow on trees.
