A British lady managed to break the concrete on her driveway and fell into a 24ft hole! How this happened? I don’t know. Maybe it’s just being at the wrong place, at the wrong time. A passerby heard her cries of help and managed to contact the firefighters to help. Thankfully, she was rescued and survived the ordeal escaping with just shock. The paramedics treated her and she is now recuperating with her family.
This event makes me come to realize, how stable is the earth coming to now? Cracks are appearing out of nowhere, and now concrete is just crumbling upon pressure. It’s not just in England, it’s happening all over, even if we don’t hear about it. Earthquakes are happening every other minute around the world.
We are a fortunate bunch, us Malaysians, we don’t have all these “natural” disasters. Yet. Let’s face the facts, the continental plates are moving, thus, our beloved country is moving closer to fault lines. But, of course, our ignorance makes us believe that we will forever be safe, and that nothing will happen to us. Guess again.
